Artist Nani Chacon is currently working on a mural across the street from The Metro at the Brush Factory in the City of Kingston in anticipation of the eighth annual O+ Festival, taking place October 6-8. The festival features a weekend of art, music, wellness and community – with artists, musicians and volunteers exchanging their time and talent for complimentary health and wellness care.
Chacon is one of seven artists working on seven murals that respond to this year's theme of “Home” throughout the Kingston neighborhoods of uptown, midtown and, for the first time, the Rondout.
In addition to 20 visual, installation and performance artists, over 60 bands will perform throughout the weekend including Amanda Palmer, Spirit Family Reunion, Deerhoof, as well as local favorites The Mammals and The Big Takeover.
All-access wristbands and a full schedule of events are available online at opositivefestival.org/kingston
