In the spring of 2016, actor/director Mary Stuart Masterson founded Stockade Works, a non-profit organization dedicated to Make Local Work™ in fostering the further potential of film and tech in the Hudson Valley. With the goal to boost the local economy by bringing film and television production to the region, her passion was contagious and effective.
We are thrilled to share with you that Stockade Works and Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) has been awarded $1 million in economic and community development funding through the New York State Regional Economic Development Council Initiative.
“These funds will allow us to kickstart our co-working, production facility which is an essential link in the entertainment ecosystem chain,” remarked Stockade Works Founder and Executive Director Mary Stuart Masterson.
